Wyvern, 100% SW Merino, worsted weight

56.00

Wyvern is a 100% SW Merino, worsted weight yarn. It weighs in at 250 g (almost 9 oz.) and 470 yards.

Since most projects need more than one skein, Wyvern is dyed in double skeins. These are big skeins! It’s the best way to ensure your hand dyed yarns will match through a whole project. Double skeins also make it easier to buy for large projects like sweaters, large shawls and blankets.

These tonal or semi-solid skeins are popular for sweaters and show stitch patterns well. The tonal/semi-solid dye technique makes this popular with crocheters as well, due to less pooling.

If you need more than the quantity available here, or if you want to ensure a large lot look as similar as possible to each other, you can email me. I can do special orders with half down (non-refundable) through paypal and dye them all on the same day from the same batch of dyestock.

Machine washable and dryable, recommended on low or no heat, but it’s even better to hand wash. All my products are currently dyed with acid dyes. To wash, use only cool water and a tiny bit of a wool wash such as Kookaburra or Unicorn. Hot water baths can break the dye bond and cause the dye to bleed.
